Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist
Be a cut above the rest! The Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) designation is awarded by the American Medical Billing Association (AMBA).
Certification provides credibility to the biller, health care providers and employers. It demonstrates your commitment to providing the highest standards possible in claims management and medical billing.
WKSP-8000 Health Career Workshop is required prior to registration in HLTH-8061B, HLTH-8008D, or HLTH-8018C, the recommended order of courses. Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge to take the CMRS exam. More information about the exam can be found at www.ambanet.net.

Certified Medication Aide
If you’re a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and want to help patients by giving them their medications, our Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program is for you!
A CMA is a CNA with extra training that will allow you to give out medications in places like assisted living facilities, hospitals and correctional centers. CMAs keep track of when and how much medicine patients take, making sure they take it correctly.

Certified Professional Coding
The Certified Professional Coding Preparation program is intended to provide students, upon completion, the necessary preparation to take the internationally recognized Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam licensed by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Dental Assisting
The Dental Assisting certificate program consists of a blend of online lectures via CANVAS and an on-site laboratory. Upon successful program completion, you will receive a Workforce & Continuing Education certificate. After completing the program and attaining two years of full-time work experience, you may test for the Certified Dental Assisting credential offered by the Dental Assisting National Board.

Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician
The EKG is an important diagnostic tool that measures the heartrate, determines if a heart muscle is functioning properly and discovers irregular heartbeats. In our program, you will gain a foundational knowledge of heart anatomy and physiology while learning how to operate an EKG machine, administer an EKG and interpret its results. EKG technicians are in high demand with positions available in doctor’s offices, hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities and organizations, as well as some insurance companies. The program can be completed in one semester and prepares you for the Certified EKG Technician Exam.

Fitness
Turn your passion for fitness into a career such as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, Senor Fitness Specialist or a Group Fitness Instructor. Home Care Assistant
Upon successful completion of this program, you will receive a Workforce & Continuing Education Home Care Assistant certificate and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to assist clients living at home or in an Assisted Living Facility. The emphasis of this certificate is based on: home care safety, companionship activities, plan and prepare meals, observation and documentation, transportation, assisting clients with activities of daily living, and housekeeping chores.

Laboratory Assistant
Laboratory Assistants gain the beginning knowledge and skills used to assist medical laboratory professionals in clinical laboratories found in hospitals, outpatient clinics and processing centers.

Pharmacy Technician

Phlebotomy
The Phlebotomy program consists of classroom lectures, hands-on laboratory practice and an internship. Upon completion, students will receive a Workforce and Continuing Education certificate and be prepared to take the nationally recognized American Medical Technologist (AMT) exam immediately or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) exam for Phlebotomy after one year’s experience. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
In our program, you will learn how to assist a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in helping patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or a similar diagnosis modify behaviors that interfere with their ability to concentrate, communicate and socially interact with others. A growing field, RBTs are employed by school districts, autism centers and hospitals to assist with behavioral-challenged children and adults. The 40-hour program meets the requirements of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, and your own certification will follow evaluation of your skills by a BCBA supervisor.
