We’ll get you ready to meet employer demands in our accelerated programs.
Our Maritime CNC Machining and Welding programs are 17 weeks, with 600 hours of classroom and hands-on training.
You can expect to be in class full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday at our Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) in Warren. Both day and evening class options are available, and most of your time will be spent in hands-on training.

The Michigan Maritime Manufacturing (M3) program is a short-term training program focused on preparing students for careers in the maritime and defense industries. It’s geared toward individuals seeking a career change, higher wages or job stability.
The program is 17 weeks, with 600 hours of training. Session times are Monday-Friday from either 7am-3:30 or 3pm – midnight.

Yes, veterans are eligible and supported through Macomb Community College’s Office of Veteran & Military Services.
M3 training is currently separate from the welding associate degree. For CNC, students may earn up to three credits toward a degree.
You’ll earn a certificate from Macomb. In addition, you’ll be prepared to earn national certifications from the American Welding Society, the National Institute for Metalworking Skills and OSHA-10.
