There’s a big need for skilled workers in maritime CNC machining and welding! To meet this need, the Michigan Maritime Manufacturing (M3) Initiative has created fast-track training programs.

There are thousands of openings for skilled workers and the field is expected to grow.

The best part? The jobs are right here in southeast Michigan. Plus, all your class and supply costs will be covered!

The M3 CNC Machining and Welding Programs operate on a recurring schedule, ensuring regular and accessible availability throughout the calendar year.

Earn a valuable credential that’s known all over the country

We’ll get you ready to meet employer demands in our accelerated programs.

Our Maritime CNC Machining and Welding programs are 17 weeks, with 600 hours of classroom and hands-on training.

You can expect to attend classes Monday-Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm at our Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) in Warren. You will spend most of your time in hands-on training.

When you’re finished, you’ll earn a certificate and be ready to earn certifications from the: 

  • American Welding Society
  • National Institute for Metalworking Skills
  • Amatrol
