Computer Skills
The Basic Computer Skills certificate program is a job skill training program for adults seeking basic computer job skills. It consists of three courses, and can be completed within one term (four months).
The purpose of this program is to empower adult students with the essential computer skills needed to compete in today's job market. The program will cover basic computer tasks using Windows, a word processor, navigating the web, working with email and keyboarding skills. Topics also covered include beginning-level training in the current version of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Students who successfully complete this program can earn 3.00 academic credits for ITAP-1000 (Foundations of Computer Applications) or 3.00 elective general business academic credits.

The purpose of this program is to empower adult students with essential computer skills that are expected in today's job market. Topics cover beginning and intermediate training in the current version of Microsoft Office's Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using lecture, demonstration, hands-on exercises and homework.
Students can earn a Workplace Computing Skills Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the three required courses.
