MCC to be at center of effort to build submarines for Navy

Secretary of Navy Carlos Del Toro, accompanied by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and U.S. Sen. Gary Peters, announced more than $50 million is being invested in efforts in Michigan to bolster training pipelines and programs for submarine and ship building, A $15.4 million investment in Macomb Community College will support providing accelerated training in CNC and welding.

Macomb Community College unveiled its first-ever logo to represent the Monarchs, since the name was coined for the college's athletic teams in 1967. The college currently has nine athletic teams and more than 100 student-athletes.
