Police and fire departments in Macomb County. Henry Ford Health System. The Townsend Hotel. The United Shore Professional Baseball League.

These are just a few of the more than 200 employers who are looking to hire at ]Macomb Community College’s annual job fair April 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sports & Expo Center on the college’s South Campus in Warren.

The annual event co-sponsored by the City of Warren offers job seekers the opportunity to connect with approximately 200 employers looking to hire for both full- and part-time positions. The job fair is free and open to the public with no registration required.

“The job fair has been an effective networking opportunity that often leads to sustainable employment for job seekers and a stronger workforce for the employer,” said Robert Penkala, director of career services at MCC.

Those who are looking to attend the event are encouraged to be prepared.

Business attire is recommended and those attending should bring along plenty of resumes in case you find more than a few places where you would like to apply. Many of the employers have immediate positions open so participants should also be ready for on-the-spot interviews.

For a full list of employers participating in the job fair, visit events.macomb.edu/event/job_fair_2024.

Additional resources will also be available on-site, including Macomb’s Office of Veteran and Military Service and Michigan Works! Macomb/St. Clair with information on the programs they offer.
