Ron Insana, senior analyst, CNBC and financial industry expert, will present Rebuilding America: Restoring Prosperity in a Post-Pandemic World on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m., at Macomb Community College. He will discuss how the pandemic will change our economy, our lives and our world.

Insana is a highly regarded lecturer on domestic and global economics, financial markets and economic policy issues. He will outline what the new normal means in light of the most pressing global economic and market issues of the day. The presentation is free to attend and is part of the James Jacobs Civic Engagement Project.

For more than 30 years, Insana has been a respected business journalist and money manager. He is a regular contributor to CNBC and MSNBC, has written for Money magazine and USA Today, and hosted two nationally syndicated radio programs. He is well-known for his high-profile interviews including Presidents Clinton and Bush, billionaire investors Warren Buffet and George Soros, Bill Gates and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Insana was named one of the “Top 100 Business News Journalists of the 20th Century,” and was nominated for a news and documentary Emmy for his role in NBC’s coverage of 9/11. He’s written four books on Wall Street and is currently the editor of Isana’s Market Intelligence, a subscription-based newsletter.

In addition to his work as a business journalist and author, Insana was the CEO of Insana Capital Partners from 2006 – 2008, which, at its peak, managed the $125 million Insana Capital Partners “Legends Fund.”

The James Jacobs Civic Engagement Project was created to bring nationally recognized experts to Macomb County to generate thoughtful dialogue on issues of importance to the area. Jacobs retired as president of Macomb Community College in June 2017. This presentation is made possible through funding by JPMorgan Chase and the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation. Previous speakers in the series have included Larry Summers, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, and Shoshanna Zuboff.

Insana’s presentation will be held at the Macomb Center for Performing Arts, located on Macomb’s Center Campus at 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. Tickets for the presentation are complementary but limited to four tickets per person. To reserve tickets, go to MacombCenter.com or call 586.286.2222. Masks must be worn when inside college facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
