SAT
The SAT is a standardized test intended to assess students’ readiness for college and is required for freshman to enter many, but not all, colleges and universities in the United States. Macomb administers the SAT exam on select national test dates. For more information, contact SAT.
College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Developed by the College Board, CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program. Earn qualifying scores on any of the 33 introductory-level college subject examinations and accelerate your education. Each 90-minute exam is $85.
Proctored Examinations
The Academic Success Center provides test proctoring services for non-Macomb students, charging a $25 fee for each examination (subject to change). Proctored exams can be in paper/pencil or computer-generated. Electronic equipment (cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc.) are not allowed in the testing room. A locker will be provided to store personal items. All testing regulations from the outside institution also apply.
Arrangements for proctored examinations must be made in advance and scheduled during the Academic Success Center’s regular hours of operation. Please allow enough time when you schedule for the proctored exam to be returned by your institution’s due date.
The Testing Center accepts payment via Acceptiva (debit, credit, or MacombOne card) for the $25-50 administration fee. Click the following link to access the payment portal.
Photo identification with signature (e.g. driver’s license, passport, military ID) is required for all tests administered by the Academic Success Center.
