Looking to become a firefighter or an EMT?

Macomb Community College will be hosting Discover Macomb, an event to highlight its fire, police, paramedic and EMT programs May 16 at 7 p.m.

Potential students, as well as parents, teachers and counselors can learn what it takes to become a police officer, a firefighter, a paramedic or an emergency medical technician (EMT) during Macomb Community College’s Discover Macomb hosted at the Public Service Institute on the college’s East Campus in Clinton Township.

During this 90-minute session, faculty and staff will provide a broad range of information about each career pathway, including physical and educational requirements, as well as connections to workforce opportunities. Participants will see equipment demonstrations during a tour of the college’s state-of-the-art public service training facilities.

Those interested in attending should register at macomb.edu/discovermacomb for the free event. Those who attend are eligible to win a $50 gift card to Macomb Community College’s bookstore.

 Discover Macomb: Public Service Institute will be held at Macomb’s East Campus at 21901 Dunham Road, Clinton Township.
